Helps Fanshawe team to 4th place

Mackey 12th at OCAA Championship


Blake Mackey, (pictured above) who played out of BlackHorse and Walkerton golf clubs this past summer, finished 12th at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association championship.

The former Grey Bruce Junior Golf Tour champion shot rounds of 80-76-84 at Crimson Ridge Golf Club in Sault Ste. Marie and finished second on his Fanshawe College team.

His team finished 4th in the event.

This is Mackey’s first year with the Fanshawe team.

The winning team was from Humber College and included the individual winner, Conner Watt, who carded rounds of 73-72-77.

The team from Georgian College had a strong showing, finishing second. 

Leading the team was Matt LeMay who finished tied for 8th after rounds of 81-76-80.
