Colton Kolkanis of Shanty Bay Golf Club was the top golfer from the BruceGreySimcoe region during the recent Barrie Classic Great Lakes Tour event at Tangle Creek Golf and Country Club.
He shot 74-72-70 and finished tied for 8th.
Drew Nesbitt, also of Shanty Bay, tied for 12th after shooting 73-71-73 and Ryan Curran of Thornton tied for 14th after shooting 69-74-75.
Wasaga Beach’s Mark Hoffman (75-69-76) was 20th and Terry O’Brien of Innisfil (74-71-77) tied for 21st.
The winner was Jesse Smith of Oshweken, who shot rounds of 71-70-69 and won in a playoff over Josh Bamberger of Waterloo.
The event was held May 11-13.
