Steve Irving of Legacy Ridge Golf Club near Owen Sound shot 75 (+4) and tied for 3rd at the Ontario Senior Men’s Champion of Champions event today at Heron Point Golf Links near Hamilton.
Another golfer from the BruceGreySimcoe region - John Bearnes of Barrie Country Club - cracked the top 10 with a 9th place finish. He shot 77.

T-29th Charlie Pittock of The Club at Bond Head and Danny Cook of Blue Mountain G & CC (81)
T-37th Stu Hamilton of The Mad River Golf Club in Creemore (82)
T-44th Ross Ballantyne of Horseshoe Resort near Barrie (84)
T-49th Rob Myhill of The Golf Club at Lora Bay (86)
T-59th Scott Firstbrook of OslerBrook G & CC (89)
T-61st Danny Brown of The Georgian Bay Club (90).
The winner was Mike Fernie of Burlington G & CC who fired an even par 71.
The event featured 2016 senior men's club champions from across Ontario.
In the men’s Champion of Champion event, the top BGS golfers were:
T-37th Cameron Leitch of Midland G & CC (81)
T-42nd Steve Knoch of Osler Brook (82)
T-44 Kurt Wilson of Blue Mountain G & CC and Phil Carleton of Legacy Ridge GC (83)
T-47th David Moser of The Georgian Bay Club.
The winner was Ashley Chinner of Coppinwood, who shot 69 and won in a playoff over Mike Kray of Rattlesnake Point GC.
