Reilly Erwin and Jordan Kemp of The Club at Bond Head were the top golfers from the BruceGreySimcoe region during the PGA of Canada’s Ontario Zone Head Pro/Assistant Pro Championship.
Playing six holes in each of the following formats - scramble, better ball and alternate shot - they combined to shoot -2 and finished 5th.
Next best from BGS was the team of Nate Clingersmith and Steve Moore of The Golf Club at Lora Bay. They shot 71 and tied for 14th.
Conrad Riley and Thomas Keddy of OslerBrook Golf and Country Club shot 72 and tied for 18th while Warren Thomas and Andrew Baines of Cobble Beach Golf Links carded a 73 and tied for 20th.
The winners were Gordon Burns and Richard Willan of Gord Burns Golf School who shot 66 and won $2,000.
The event was played in windy conditions on Monday (June 26) at the par 71 Whistle Bear Golf Club in Kitchener.
