Local pro ties for 11th


Gary Jeffrey of The Georgian Bay Club near Thornbury finished tied for 11th at the PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada.

He shot rounds of 72-73-69 at the Burlington Golf and Country Club where the championship was played from Aug. 8-11. 

His prize money was $1,085.

The winner was Jim Rutledge who shot rounds of 65-67-66 for a -12 total and won $9,000.

Rutledge is from Victoria, B.C. and currently plays on the PGA Champions Tour.
